Overview

The Governance Good Practice Guide (GGPG) offers practical support and advice primarily to governors and clerks to governing boards of colleges.

The Guide offers examples of practices, processes and sample documents against which you can compare your own current arrangements and choose to:

• adopt if they closely match your individual needs
• adapt in order to meet your specific needs
• use as a point of reference to review and reflect upon your current activities.
  

These are not prescriptive models. The FE sector is highly diverse: what works for one college may not be suitable for another and flexibility is very important. You can browse governance topics in general and search for a particular issue or theme, or get access to a specific document or tool – according to your training needs.
