quality assuranceThe quality of development is monitored and promoted by the following bodies: - Governance Advisory Group: representatives of national governance stakeholders who have been charged by the Association of Colleges (AoC) and the Centre for Excellence in Leadership (CEL) with overseeing a range of different Leadership Skills for Governance (LSG) initiatives.
- Clerks' Advisory Group: practising governing board clerks drawn from a range of institutions from across the country who meet regularly with the LSG team and advise them on governance issues.
- National Working Group: representatives from key national policy-making bodies - such as Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK), CEL, AoC, LSC and Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) - and of individuals currently operating in the sector: students, chair, governors, clerk and senior postholders. Members discuss emerging materials, ensuring national consistency and sharing of understanding.
Ongoing development takes account of feedback from the above groups and from the wider sector through consultation workshops and conferences.
